📢 Join NCC - March Towards a Brighter Future!

Be a part of the legacy. Develop discipline. Lead with pride.

At our college, the NCC unit trains cadets with regular drills, adventure camps, social service, and leadership workshops, building a strong foundation for a successful career.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit of our Jairams Arts and Science College, Karur plays a vital role in shaping students into disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens. Established with the aim of fostering leadership qualities, community service, and a spirit of adventure, the NCC provides students with invaluable opportunities for personal and social development.

National Cadet Corps in India came into being by Parliament Act No. XXXI of 1948 designated as National Cadet Corp Act 1948. It was raised on 15 July 1948. The National Cadet Corps can be considered as a successor to the University Officers Training Corps (UOTC) / University Training Corps (UTC) which was established by the British in 1942. After Independence, a committee headed by Pandit H.N. Kunzru recommended a cadet organization to be established in schools and colleges at the national level. The National Cadet Corps Act was accepted by the Governor General on 15 July 1948 and the National Cadet Corps came into existence.

In present days NCC is functioning under the Ministry of Defense in Central Level and Ministry of Education in State Level. NCC in our College raised in the year 2021.
